Art Zoo
Art Zoo Museum is an artistic tribute to the animal world, housed in one of Amsterdam's finest 17th-century canal houses on the Herengracht. Visitors experience the work of taxidermy artists Darwin, Sinke & Van Tongeren from within large aviaries — colourful birds, crocodiles, snakes and a T-Rex in a world where animals reign supreme.
Art Zoo Amsterdam needed lighting that became part of the exhibit, not background illumination. We designed and installed a Pharos-controlled system that drives individual fixtures across hanging birdcage structures, with DALI addressing for per-fixture precision. Scene programming sequences run automatically, with manual override available via buttons. The result is a lighting system the exhibit team can operate without technical knowledge.
